If you sail with your houseboat until Grado and Marano Lagoon, you cannot miss fish products. The fish comes not only from the sea, but also from the lagoon (trouts, European perches, whiterock basses), all raised in fresh resurgence waters. Molluscs and crustaceans are exquisite as well as cheese and cured meats. Recently in Friuli the production of rabbits has been increasing during the years. Sunflower honey is also very peculiar and many fine wines are typical of this area, as for example the Friuli Annia and Friuli-Latisana (both DOC – Denomination of Controlled Origin).
